August! Where on earth has the year gone, we have been quit active so far and there is more to come, in just a few days from now we will be holding the Annual BikeFest, August 5th, 10am - 4pm.
As you will know this is held on the Town Square in Weston and we shall need all of you to come along and lend a hand even if its only for an hour, but if you can stay longer we would be grateful.
And don’t forget the Virago Star Owner’s Club have kindly extended an invite to us to attend their party at Court Farm on the Saturday Night.
Then couple of weeks after Bristol MAG hold their big bike show at St Nicholas Markets, so I hope you all will go along and support them and even lend a hand if possible.
But our biggest event has to be the GWR 2006. This year after a few hic-cups we are going green field. It’s a lot of work but, MAG benefits a great deal from this sort of event, and we have the benefit of being the only MAG rally in this area. This has to be a MAX turn out for us to ensure everything goes OK.
OK we are bound to make some mistakes this year (on top of the ones we have already made!) but we can learn from them, and build this rally up to become a really good small to medium sized rally. MAG central are already listing it as a Flagship Event, so, let’s get it done!
And dare I say it we had better start planning for next year!!!
For those who turned up this was an enjoyable evening featuring two bands, which got some of the older rockers up and doing a bit of head banging.
Unfortunately this was not as well attended as we would have liked, although we did make a small profit which was donated to the Freewheelers.
But the question we would like answered is: Do you want us to further events like this?
