If it is your intension to go to the Western Region AGM in Gloucester please don’t forget your membership card so that you can vote on any burning issues that may arise, or to vote in those Officials you want to run the regions affairs.
Hopefully, as well as having a new website, which is currently under construction, we will also have our own Logo, consisting of an Black on Yellow Oval patch, on which in the upper half will be the Old MAG twin exhaust Logo and in the lower half the words Weston & North Somerset MAG, between these will be a silhouette of one of the Pier’s that dot the North Somerset Coast. At our recent meetings members have had a chance to discuss and select from four basic designs so that the patch will be a North Somerset Group effort.
Our meetings at the new venue are being well attended, with numbers beginning to rise. And our hosts lay on some food providing there are sufficient numbers. It is hoped that we will be able to organise one or two events at The Bell, such as Biker Meets and we would welcome suggestions, also that the other regional groups will visit us.
Once again those stalwart chaps at Glos MAG are organising their annual rally at Easter, in chilly March and will be looking for Marshals to help at the event.
The Weston & North Somerset Group AGM will be held at The Bell on April 13th 2005 at 8:00pm. Any proposals or nominations, please let your committee have the details
On Sunday April 24th 2005 we will be holding our Pet Food Run, we will probably start in or near Weston and ride to one or two animal sanctuaries. So are there any suggestions for a suitable beneficiary or starting point?
This years Beach Races are to be held over three days in early October, and
the organisers have intimated that if we supply the marquee for the secure bike
park, we will be able to keep all the proceeds from the bike park, which at
present they give us a percentage.
So do we obtain a suitable marquee?
And
where can we get a good one that complies with the necessary regulations at a
reasonable price.
This has the potential for paying for itself quite quickly,
providing we enjoy good weather in the first two or three years.
Thoughts
anybody?
