Despite the weather doing its best to dampen our spirits, we did a lot better than was to be expected. Even though the helmet park was a trifle cramped for space we still managed to squeeze in over a hundred helmets. And we had a lot more bikes come in on the rather damp Sunday than we realistically expected, so on the whole we did OK. At least we had the fun of watching motorists turning right out of Carlton Street to go the wrong way up the one-way system, even a police van and a coach did it! Much to our amusement.
So to all those of you who gave up your free time to come along and get soaked for MAG, give yourselves a well deserved slap on the back! Jolly well done guys and gals.
We are having a Christmas dinner at The Star on December 13th 2006, at 7:30pm for 8pm.
A menu is available, and the cost is £20 a head, however this is a two for one deal so it should work out at a tenner each. You will need to pre-book this ASAP, and a £5 deposit is required. Orders will close at the Wednesday 8th November meeting night.
The Troll, Neal and Treasurer Bill all went up to Bristol MAG’s Thursday night meeting prior to the Soup Run to hand over several bags of tinned food and cash donations. Bristol MAG thanked Weston /& N Somerset MAG for our support and apologised for the clash with the Enduro to which were already committed.
It was suggested at the Enduro that we might like to do a Soup Run of our own early next year from Weston.

Thinking caps on guys and gals we need to start thinking about what we want to do next year!
So do any of you have suggestions? We already have the BikeFest, GWR, Enduro and we should support the A38ers rally.
