Due to some very hard work by a few dedicated individuals not least our
Rep, our first attempt at a rally has gone off rather well. We even managed
a very small profit, however before we start slapping ourselves on the back
we have a few things to sort out to make next years rally even
better.
Suggestions anyone?
It has been suggested that we obtain a tea
urn and have tea or coffee available free during the rally and especially
when rallyists arrive. Do we stay with a disco on the Friday night or
consider a live band on both the Friday and Saturday Evenings.
One thing
we need to sort out for next year is a rota for marshals as the few there,
were on more or less permanently.
Otherwise a very well done to every one
who did help.
Well first off the Troll must apologise to everyone for not being able to
help out at this year’s event. Even Trolls get the lurgy every now and
then.
Despite what was going to be a difficult site on which to work it
seems with a little help from our local constabulary certain difficulties
were overcome and we managed a reasonable income from the Secure Bike Park
and Helmet Park.
Well done everyone. And let’s hope the local
authorities see sense before next year!
