GWR 2007
Well! It would be fair to say we learned some valuable lessons from this year’s GWR Rally. Despite still not making much money it has to be said it went very well, all thanks to those members who gave their time and services. The Friday evening was a disappointment, and despite a band letting us down on Saturday, the Saturday evening went down a storm.
The Raffle raised £400 for charity thanks to Moose (Mid-Wilts MAG) and Den & Bev (Glos MAG). Plans are already afoot for next year, and we will be electing a Rally Committee and delegating certain aspects to appropriate volunteers. So hopefully next year will run a little smoother, also next years rally is to be a week earlier over the 5th-7th September 2008.
Beach Races
The beach races come to Weston over the 20th-21st October, and we will be marshalling at the Secure Bike Park once again, so willing volunteers please step forward, also Gareth Hocky would like us to come along on the evening of the 17th to check on facilities at the Bike Park.
AGM
Yes its nearly time for our AGM! It is being held at The Railway Inn on the 21st November commencing at 8pm. Some of the present Officers are stepping down so there will be positions for willing volunteers. If you have any nominations or proposals please take them to your committee at the next few meetings. Closing date for nominations and proposals is November 12th.
