Well it’s almost upon us, just a few more days and the GWR 2006 will commence. There were times when it was touch and go if it was ever going to take place but all the ‘T’s have been crossed and ‘I’s dotted, well more or less, so it will be all hands to the pumps (pardon the pun given the forecast for high tides that weekend).
So good luck everyone let’s hope it’s going to be a really great weekend?
It seems a trifle early to be thinking of next years rally, but, a year soon swings past, and we will once again be planning the next rally. To get good attendances we really need to advertise our rally a lot earlier, and more widely. So despite sum doubts about our present site we will be back there next year, and possibly the year after. However, if a better site can be found, and it must have a water supply, and an electrical supply would be great, we need to start looking now if we want to move for 2008.
So guys and gals get looking, we have a year to find somewhere!
The BikeFest was once again a great success; we had a good turn out of bikes that made the judge’s job difficult. But a very big Thank you must go to the VSOC for their continued support, and their kind invitation to their Party. Also Thank you to all of you who gave your time to help marshal even if some of you did like playing with the radios!!!
It was great to see a good turn out of our group’s membership at the BBS, and also to help with marshalling this event.
It is very pleasing to see our meetings at Cromwells growing in size, with more new members coming along; we are averaging around the 15 to 20 mark now so keep it up.
Suggestions (clean!!!) for next years calendar of events are now needed, so get those thinking caps on!
